On
Wednesday, January 2, 1861, at 10 o’clock A.M. the Trustees of the East
Wallingford Baptist Meeting House Association held “a saile of slips” (as
recorded) or pews. The following is

some later dates the following people purchased slips: M. H. Dickerson –
7; Abel Roy – 40; Ira Sweetland – 29
Found tucked in the pages of the minutes is the following hand written note
dated July 1908: “I – Mrs. Grace Potter – heir of the M. H. Dickerman
estate freely give to the East Wallingford Baptist Church pew No 7 in the
Baptist Church at East Wallingford, VT.”
